The cleanroom in the central building

The whole interior of the central building is a dust-free cleanroom, protecting the highly sensitive optics against impurities. In order to eliminate the influence of airflows, the optical path has to go through ultra-high vacuum, produced by eleven vacuum tanks, each two meters high.
